Glow Worm

My little bug Cashis FINALLY started crawling today! It's definitely not the usual normal crawl, it's how I imagine a worm would crawl! He really moves his body like a little worm, but it gets him where he needs to go. I imagine that in a few days he'll start to get the traditional ways of crawling down, but it is cute! He's almost 9 months, but I guess at 21 lbs. and almost 30 in. long it just took his big boy body longer to get there! (it may also have a little tiny bit to do with the fact that I am sad to see my baby grow up).

Thanksgiving Festivities

Happy Thanksgiving (belated)! So this year was a bit different for our little family. I hosted this year for the first time so it was stressful and chaotic, but nice also! I, of course, got some pictures of the happenings! My mom, Reggie, & Whit came over as well as Henry's parents and uncle. It was a bit crowded in out apartment, but it was fun!

So I have a really great mom who takes my two older boys one weekend a month for me. It gives me a little break from the chaotic reality that is my life. Here are some pictures she had of some of the fun times they had while at grandma's:

Mandy's Wedding

A few weeks ago my best friend, Mandy, got married. I was able to attend wth my boys, but Henry had to work so we stayed the weekend with my mom. I wish her all the luck in the world and hope that she had at long last found the happiness she has been searching for! I love you Mandy! Here are just a few pictures of the event:

RuB a DuB DuB...

Sometimes bath time is such a chore at my house. 3 boys and a big mess is usually what it entails. Today was an exception, a really great and wonderful exception! All 3 of my boys took a bath together and it was so precious how they all played together with no fighting or water dumping or any of that sort! At one point the older two put their arms around each other and then little Zach says-"don't forget my baby Cash." It's really these moments, you know- the ones that aren't planned and are usually just walked in upon and sort of take your breath away, that make my job as a mother so worth it.

Team Edward...

Late, late Thursday night, me and some girlfriends snuck away and saw twilight at midnight! It was so much fun!

Here we were, a bunch of ol' moms trying to tough it out with all the teeny-boppers- we were quite the site! But it was so worth it and it was such an awesome movie!

If you haven't yet read the series- DO!!! So Hayley, Jenni, Deann, and Steph thanks for a fun and memorable night! Can't wait for the next one...

Chop Chop

So, I have had enough of my hair! I was in dire need of a change so I decided to chop it all off. Here are a few pictures where you can sort of see my hair. Hope you like!

Melt down mania

Let me just start by saying "ugggghhhh"! Why are children so difficult sometimes. We went to ShopKo today with some "new" friends (not sure if they will stay our friends after tonight) to look for christmas ideas and hang out. The boys, and when I say boys I mean my two 3 1/2 year olds- not my 8 month old, were absolutely rotten! They were having melt down after melt down. First it was because we walked by the media section and they saw a movie playing that they liked and they wanted to stand there and watch the whole thing. That was melt down number one. Then it was because they decided to run away and sit on all the "big" kid bikes and were told that they couldn't play on those- melt down number 2. Then they wanted to ride in one of the sleds- melt down number 3. And the final melt down at ShopKo was strolling bu the candy aisle on our way out- melt down number 4.
Now you may be thinking to yourselves- wow how could it get worse than this. Oh it does. We then proceeded to go to dinner at Red Robin and the melt downs started all over again. And through all this mess of tears and frustration, my sweet little Cashis sat perfectly still and happily in not only the shopping cart, but the high chair as well the ENTIRE time and watched his brothers melt down in amusement! By the end of the evening I was about to pull my hair out! Our tentative friends have one little boy who did quite well, so I think it's safe to say that this friendship will probably not last much beyond tonight. My boys are usually really well behaved so I was really sad that they were so rotten today! Again- ugggghhhhh!

My Sister, My Friend...

I really do have a great little sister! She came up and stayed with us this past weekend and watched the boys for us so we could go out not only Friday, but Saturday as well. She is coming back up in two weeks to stay the weekend again so me and Henry can go out for our anniversary. My boys absolutely adore their Aunt Whitney and she is such a huge help to us! Thanks Whit for all you do...

FLASH escapee...

Every time I go to take Cash's picture lately, he closes his eyes when the flash comes on!! So I have a ton of pictures of him with his eyes closed. I guess I need to take pictures of him in some natural light so I can get some with his beautiful eyes open...
